In part 9 of this series Kent will show you his favorite method of not losing and also keeping in order the fasteners you remove from a component when working on your car. This is a big problem with beginner DIY mechanics. They just don’t yet realize how important it is to keep track of where each nut and bolt goes when removing a part. If you don’t you can waste a huge amount of time trying to figure it out by trial and error. AND who has not dropped a bolt for nut down into the engine compartment and could not find it….

In his “quick tip” video series Kent Bergsma shares short automotive maintenance tips and tricks that you may find helpful when repairing your own car. Each tip is one to two minutes in length, covers only one specific topic, and is geared for the do-it-yourself home mechanic. Using these tips can help protect you AND your car, and possibly save you hundreds of dollars $$$.
