We’ve all seen it HUNDREDS of times. Before and after videos of weight loss, fitness, braces, etc. These can be VERY motivating, but sometimes they are just meh.
This reason is because most before and after videos follow the same theme: film before, film after, then show the clips next to each other. (I’m secretly yawning)
While this does work in theory, it’s boring and predictable.
“How could I make a before and after video about a car getting repaired cool?”
My plan was to do something a little different using a variety of cuts, angles, music, sound effects, and editing techniques. I wanted to tell a story about this car.
I wanted someone who could care less about the subject to watch it, stay engaged, and FEEL the emotion.
Here’s to telling stories even when there isn’t one.
