Giancarlo ! says:

yep , the big corporations don't want us , fixing our own things, they want us to take the car to stealership to replace a headlight for $200 bucks

petronovich30 says:

scotty you rule love your show 👋🏻👍🏼👍🏼✊🏼✊🏼✊🏼👊🏻👊🏻

Fred Aly says:

I bought a 2006 cadillac sts for $1500 it wasnt well maintained. I have put in around $2000 into in already and it has a rod knock now. I can get a new(used) motor put in for $1700. But everytime i start the car it says hello Mila thats the former owner. I have tried to get rid of it but it always says error on the personal settings menu. Its driving me crazy after all this money i have put into this car that i have to see the name of the person who totally neglected this car everytime i start it up. HELP ME PLEASE.😡

Beeah Robinson says:

As a women what's the basic things I need to know or say when dealing with a mechanic so I don't get ripped off, I use to ask the dealer for the parts that were replaced, the dealer would give them to me. …1 day he gave me something so heavy I could barely lift it up, after that I stopped asking. Maybe they did that on purpose

Dryer Machine says:

Just knowing that a lot of mechanics will be going out of business bc if these high tech fuckers on wheels, and the only “mechanics” we can go to is the dealership, we are screwed

Dani says:

Go ahead and look how easy is to repair a Dacia
Is told that you can repair one with a screwdriver

4ward Nthought says:

These new cars with computers that make it change lanes and park for you, if they get in a fender bender …they scrap the whole car! This is because the labor time it takes to check every software function, diagnose and repair any potential malfunction will be so high, it will be cheaper to just buy a new car.
This is part of their convoluted goals: it forces used-car-buyers to buy new cars only.

Beinrich Bimmler says:

DON'T buy cars that are impossible to work on and they will go away! Case in point, the "TALKING CAR". For a year or two in the 1990's, a lot of car makers had the talking car feature. "Your door is ajar!" ETc. Literally NO ONE asked for this feature, the car makers just added it anyway. Everyone hated talking cars, and i mean EVERY. ONE! People might be in love with the rest of the car, but the talking feature was a deal-breaker almost every time. How long do you think it took for the auto makers to stop offering talking cars? DON'T BUY CARS WITH MAJOR FLAWS LIKE THIS AND THEY WILL GO AWAY.

ThePIGGYTON says:

Thats why i love my 2000 expedition.

n1kkoGFX says:

Damn I guess I'm lucky with my $105 per hour.

Mason Reppeto says:

The more modern it gets the easier it gets to diagnose because the computer will be connected to more things with modern sensors. at some point you will be able to just plug in the scanner and it will tell you exactly what part is messing up even better than it does already.

Donald Branscom says:

Many motorcycle tires have to be put on with a machine.
Some Harley Sportsters have a can bus system so you cannot just change tail lights.

gotta hateit says:

That damn celica lol, you should update us when you finally junk it

Syed Hassan says:

what maintenance should be done right away if you buy a used car that has 100k miles on it?

paystyles says:

Before the 5k fancy scan tool

Chillin Dude says:

is a 2010 ford focus with 140k miles worth $3600?

Kid Tip says:

Hey Scotty. Im thinking about buying a used 2003-2007+ Toyota Sequioa. Ive heard that they have a rusty frame issue. Are there certain years where the frame is not affected ? What are your thoughts on the rusty frame claim ? Im in Michigan so a little rust is expected. Thanks Scotty.

Zahid Alaauddin says:

I got a Mazda 3 2005 that doesn't start the first time. The check engine light is on and it says H02S Heater Control Circuit Low Bank 1 Sensor 1 and this means one of the oxygen sensor is not working. Could this cause the car to have starting issues? Or do I have to clean sensors or throttle to get rid of the issue?

Zachary Pruett says:

Hey Scotty, I'm looking to buy my first car and theres this 2007 Nissan Murano with 110,000 miles on it. It's a V6 and looks as to be taken care of. He has it priced at $3000. Is it going to be a good deal? Or am I going to have to keep putting money into in to get it to 300,000 miles.

Daniel Kenny says:

Several years ago while at the motorcycle wreakers I would look at all the used motorcycle lined up. All the good used one's were older and to my suprise they were customer's in for service. I realized that the motorcycles I wanted to own were customer who keep them in good shape because the used ones were trash. I all ready had my Yamaha 650 Special and purchase another as a parts bike. Rode that one for 20 years. With this new trend I guess now I will do the same for my autos. Thank you Scotty Kilmer.
